Epps Aviation (now Aero Center Atlanta) became the first to install the Garmin G600 system on a legacy Pilatus PC-12, using the Pilatus Aircraft owned STC. Since then, Aero Center Atlanta has upgraded over 170 aircraft with both the Legacy G600 and G600 TXi systems making us the most experienced and knowledgeable shop for PC-12 avionics upgrades.
.
The Pilatus G600 STC was initially limited only to authorized Pilatus Service Centers. It required the aircraft to have dual pitot/static systems, an Emergency Power Supply, TAWS-B, digital radar altimeter enablement, and Pilatus-branded brackets, with equipment sourced exclusively from Garmin and L3.
To implement the Garmin STC, our installation team has meticulously replicated all of the instrument panels, AHRS Honeycomb shelf, equipment shelves and bracketry that were previously provided by the Pilatus STC.
Custom instrument panels are designed, CNC cut and powder coated on site to suit the specific needs of each project. We reproduce all of the original Placards using our professional vinyl printing machine including the circuit breakers for an OEM appearance. The quality and workmanship of these processes are unmatched.
Garmin discontinued the production of the G600 system and introduced the G600 TXi system now available to all Garmin Dealers, not just the Pilatus Service Centers.
The TXi displays brought a larger and higher resolution touch-screen experience to the Pilatus Cockpit, modernizing the aircraft and setting the groundwork for future capabilities.
The GI275 is certified as an approved standby unit for Garmin G600 TXi systems and becomes our standard offering including a dedicated heading sensor to provide a third heading source. The unit also displays CDI information to provide full navigation capabilities even if all power is lost.
